Two month olds can be awkward to photograph, they have definitely left the newborn phase behind but aren’t yet as strong or as smiley as three month old babies. Lucky for me William didn’t mind giving me the odd smile.
He was fast asleep when he arrived at the studio and was a bit shell-shocked for a few minutes before realising he was getting loads of attention and being photographed was quite good fun!
As some of us will know a new baby can be quite hard work but then suddenly we start to be rewarded with these smiles and pure joy just because mummy or daddy are talking to them...bless.
And of course it’s double the fun when mummy gets involved too. I think William was having the time of his life! I of course happily snapped away behind the camera while the mum and dad entertained little William.
Of course two-month olds do get a bit tired after a while, generally around the two hour mark when they just need a really good cuddle…
Although three hours aren’t needed for a shoot at this age, I still love it when parents do book the full new baby photoshoot with me as I get a chance to photograph a very adorable tired and ....
...eventually sleepy little baby boy.
The images you can then create are priceless! Just mum and her baby, soaking up the lovely smell of her little boy…
These image will continue to evoke a different emotion in you every time you look at them. It will make you fall in love with your baby over and over again, wanting to protect and hold him so tight...
As a newborn and baby photographer I always try and capture some of that adorable detail. Look at those gorgeous lips with those adorable bubbles!
Now, who wouldn’t be comfortable in this amazing hammock?
