It always nice to seeing clients return over and over again and this was no different with Edith. I have known Edith from when she was very little so it was great to have her celebrate her milestone first birthday with me in my studio in Banstead, Surrey.

Edith from new Malden is a lovely gentle girl with a big heart and determined to have lots of fun in life...and what’s not to love when being presented with a yummy cake baked with love by her mummy.

And yes it did get messy, but he you’re only 1 once!

Before all the mess began I did of course get some lovely family portraits too, to mark this milestone birthday.

But the main bit of the birthday photoshoot was definitely about Edith having lots of fun and lots of cake! And the family took home a lovely storyboard which will form a nice momentum in years to come. I have one hanging up in my home of my second child’s first birthday and although she is now 3.5, it is still one of favourite collages. Mind you she is a bit of a foodie!
