I have photographed dogs in the studio before but although I like the challenge, I am not an expert. Always slightly apprehensive when a family wants to include a dog in their family photos as they can be so unpredictable. However family photography is all about creating lasting memories for the future and in many families dogs certainly form a huge part of family life with many joyful experiences being shared with their loyal friend.

So when Iveta's sister arranged a newborn shoot for her I could not turn down their request to include their lovely Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever in their newborn family photographs. And I have to say what a lovely well-behaved dog he was. I think the photos speak to themselves...Adriand and Maxwell will be friends for life!

And of course the very important family photo. Think mummy looks very proud to have both her babies behave so well.

Iveta said: "We went through the photos million times and finally, we were able to decide which ones we would like. Your pictures are beautiful!"

I think everyone should have the opportunity the have beatiful photos of those early days with your new baby. Unfortuntaly not everyone knows about the critical deadline of 14 days max when these type of photos can be taken of a newborn baby, so please share this blog with your friends who are expecting. Adrian was actually almost one month old but was happy to be posed gently, but this is quite unusual!
