Sima was looking forward to her maternity photoshoot and came well prepared with some photos she had seen elsewhere on the internet. Most of them were in a more lifestyle setting at home so we decided to try out sitting down to give the image a more natural look. I think it worked very well.

A shirt with sleeves rolled up is also a great way to make an image a bit less formal and obviously great lighting is always key. If you have stopped long enough to read my blog you probably have a preference for high contrast images like me. I still love using one key light, it emphasises the beautiful glow of any pregnant woman.

Sima was also keen to get her husband involved and he didnt need much encouragement at all!

And although many more photos were taken during the session, I wanted to share this last one in particular as it doesn’t show much of bump, but it does capture how much this mum to be is looking forward to holding her baby....soon Sima soon!
