It’s a lovely early Spring Sunny Sunday while I am writing this and I am looking forward to photographing lots of families amongst the daffodils in the next few weekends.
I am now taking bookings for my Spring Mini shoots amongst the Daffodils (March) and Blue Bells (April). BOOK NOW!
For outdoor Spring shoots, I usually offer my families’ a mini shoot which last 20 minutes. Because they all take place at stunning locations offering a number of varied backdrops it’s easy to get a good number of fantastic images in a short space of time. However if you have a large family or children that are very shy and need warming up I suggest booking a full outdoor shoot instead.
The mini shoots are a big favourite with families who have a toddler or pre-schooler as they are short enough to keep their attention and give them a chance to show off their running skills too! The mini shoot comes as a package and includes the session as well as five digital images, so it’s a great way to update your current family photo’s.
Mini session are perfect if you:
· Wish to update your family photos
· Would like to try out on location photography
· You want to purchase someone a present. I have some lovely gift voucher available.
Spring family images are also great to hang up on the wall and add a bit of colour to your room. Your family photographs will look even better if properly framed and displayed in your home. I have various frames available http://www.tamarasphotography.co.uk/products1 all handpicked and designed to complement your photos.
Once booked in, I will give you a clothing guide with advice of what to wear and what colours to complement the flowers I will be photographing you with.
Where will they be?
All sessions will be held on a location in Surrey. The week before your shoot I will be scouting the area to seek the most beautiful spots to take your family’s photographs and provide you with the location details.
I will always make sure there is parking nearby and the location should not be any further than an easy 10 minutes stroll from a car park. I will send you the exact location details a few days before your shoot date.
I often get asked what happens if the weather is bad? In case of outdoor lifestyle shoots the session will still happen unless is it really bucketing it down. I know lots of family’s are hoping of sunshine, but actually an overcast day is the best scenario you can hope for.
Luckily for us the British weather lends itself really well for this. If the weather isn’t looking great I will give you a call on the day, probably two hours or so before the shoot to discuss. It can depend a bit on the age of your children as well as the weather, as older children can be quite happy with a bit of drizzle, stomping away in their welly boots. If you have little ones that cannot walk yet and who will inevitably end up sitting or lying down on the ground, I am more likely to postpone. A cold wet baby or toddler won’t take good photographs.
I took my family out last weekend to check out the best spots to photograph daffodils and I think we have found a great one…Why not book your mini family spring shoot with the daffodils now, they will be gone before you know it
It won’t be long now before the Blue Bells are out and I have to say they are one of my favourite flowers to photograph children with. They look so dainty and sweet in the woodlands. Both girls and boys just love being photographed in the Forrest. They are a great location for boy-ish stuff, like walking on fallen over trees and give a girl a basket and she will be off collecting treasures. The location based activities are great for natural shots of your little ones enjoying themselves.
How much are the mini sessions?
My mini sessions are £150 per family and includes:
· A guide on what to wear
· 25 minute photo shoot on location
· Secure online gallery with around 30 of your best images
· 5 digital images of your choice
So all-in-all a mini session offers you great value for money. You will be able to buy additional digital images, frames, canvases, albums and gift prints, but there is no obligation to do so.
Two years ago now, I took my then 3 year and 18 month old to the Forrest and now I not only have a beautiful compilation hanging up in my hallway but also have great memories of that day which I am reminded of every day as the photos are hanging up near my front door. My eldest was just being so helpful guiding her little sister around the blue bells and fallen trees and my youngest was just very cute and cheeky. I think it comes across on the photos I have taken that day…what do you think?
If you want your family photographed in the Blue Bell Woodland get in touch and arrange your shoot. The Blue Bells are only out for two weeks a year and I only a few slots left.
Please get in touch as soon as possible if you would like have your family photographed with the beautiful Daffodils or Blue Bells as your backdrop and make sure you sign up to my mailing list below so you don’t miss out on my next mini session dates in Summer 2016.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Tamara
